Murph Dog Advice for the Day
06.24.05 (10:11 am)   [edit]

Never stand directly under a Collie, wagging your tail, while peeing is in progress...  It results in dire consequences...

Collie Nose Diet Plan
06.20.05 (4:24 pm)   [edit]

Welp Mom has stumbled on a foolproof weight loss program, courtesy of the Collie Nose.  She had her sandwich on a paper plate at lunch today, holding it a lil' from her. She hadn't even taken a bite out of it, because she got distracted reading something on the computer, when Gully came up beside her and put that Collie Nose to good use. He gave the plate a good upwards nudge and managed to flip the sandwich right off the plate.

Ever see that movie, Risky Business, where he's diving in slow motion for the glass statue? That was Mom for her sandwich.  She could have benefited from some movie special effects though, cuz she missed. SPLAT!Worked for me though.  I got a nice sized bite, before Mom could get it up off the floor.  Collies weren't fast enough though. HahHah!

After much mumbling under her breath, Mom went and fixed herself another sandwich.  She made the mistake of not eating it right away though and dang if Gully didn't flip another sandwich into the air.  She's now on the banana popsicle diet, because that doesn't require a plate. :)

The Murph Dog... loving that Collie Nose more and more, especially when it's not poking me in the butt

Hiking in the Hill Country
06.17.05 (1:25 pm)   [edit]

Anybody miss me?  Mom went on vacation and left me at the Pet Resort, so I had to resort to a boycott in protest.  I was planning on giving her the silent treatment too, but I was so happy to see her when she came to pick me up, my plan fell apart.

She went on a hiking trip in the Hill Country.  I use to get to go on those. When I reminded her of that, she explained that it was harder to take me now since I don't see so well anymore.  I then reminded her that she use to hike up Enchanted Rock with 20lb Maddie on her back, a few years ago.  She mumbled something back about being too out of shape right now to do that.  Hummmm... Guess we're both old.

Oz did get to go though. What a waste. He didn't remember to pee on anything. Nobody's even gonna know he was there. Well except for these pics:

At Enchanted Rock

At Pedranales River

The Murph Dog... off to work up an exercise program for Mom, so I can go next time.
